About Holly and the Gut

IMG_9251.heic

Hi, I'm Holly!

I’m a Nutritionist and qualified GAPS Practitioner.

My approach blends modern nutrition with the slower, more traditional practices that have shaped the way humans have nourished themselves for generations- from broths, stocks and fermented foods to nervous system support and mindful living.

My work is heavily inspired by the GAPS approach, with a particular emphasis on gut health, digestion, inflammation, nervous system support, and the connection between food, lifestyle, and our overall wellbeing.

I was born and raised in the outback of Darwin, NT, and I now call the beautiful Sunshine Coast home, where I support individuals and families both locally and beyond.

What is GAPS?

GAPS stands for Gut and Psychology Syndrome and was created by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride.

At its heart, GAPS is a whole‑food, nourishment‑focused framework that recognises the deep connection between the gut, the nervous system, and our overall wellbeing. Rather than focusing on quick fixes, GAPS places emphasis on real foods, gentle preparation, and supporting the body through everyday habits and detoxification. It looks at how food is digested, absorbed, and tolerated- and how this can influence energy, mood, behaviour, and resilience.

"The human body is a wonderful creation: it has the full ability to heal and maintain itself programmed into it! You must allow your body to use this divine programme. Healing begins from understanding what is going on in your body. No matter how chronic and severe your health problem may be, you must know why you are developing it and where it came from."
